Hi there, this is Bru Medishetty (Twitter @ BruMedishetty). I work as a SQL Server Database Administrator at an Insurance Group, based in Pennsylvania, U.S.A. I manage Test, Development and Production Environments of SQL Servers in SQL Server 2000 / 2005 / 2008 / 2008 R2 and 2012.
I started working in SQL Server with SQL Server 7.0 and had been working on all version from then, SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2012 RC0. I focus on Administration of SQL Server and Maintain Security, High-Availability, Performance Tuning, Disaster Recovery planning and several other areas of SQL Server implementations including SSIS, SSRS and SSAS.
As part of keeping myself up to date with SQL Server technology and other related technologies, I have been reading many books, articles, blogs, white papers, case studies and user forums only to get amazed by the vast amount of knowledge we have at our disposal. I feel privileged to give back to the SQL Server Community by writing blogs on SQL Server topics, that I come across in my day to day work.
In order to gauge my proficiency, I take certifications in SQL Server from time to time. I am a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) DBA in SQL 2005 and 2008, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) DBA in SQL 2005 and 2008 and also Systems Administrator in Windows Server 2003.
